Abstract
“Destination attractiveness” is a commonly studied topic in both domestic and international research. The attractiveness of a destination plays a crucial role in enhancing its competitiveness and ability to attract tourists. Many studies have focused on identifying and evaluating the factors that contribute to a destination’s attractiveness. This study aims to analyze and synthesize quantitative research techniques used to evaluate these factors. The research data from 25 studies published in Scopus-indexed journals were reviewed and evaluated using a three-step process based on document analysis method. The results of the research show that 16 quantitative research techniques were utilized to assess the factors influencing destination attractiveness. These techniques include ranking, factor analysis, exploratory factor analysis, principal component analysis, cluster analysis, analytical hierarchy process, multiple regression analysis using the OLS method, IPA technique, average rating, regression weight analysis, index of destination attractiveness, Fuzzy-AHP evaluation method, multi-criteria evaluation grid, estimation methods for analyzing aids model parameters, Mann-Whitney test, and multidimensional analysis technique. Based on these findings, the paper draws several conclusions regarding the scope of use for quantitative research techniques. Additionally, the paper identifies existing research limitations and suggests directions for future studies.
