Demand for foreigners, including citizens of Vietnam and Turkey, to travel to Russia is growing rapidly, including in connection with the suspension of tourism in the countries of the Middle East. This was reported in an interview with TASS at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) by Nikita Kondratiev, Director of the Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects of the Ministry of Economic Development.
«Tourists all over the world who have planned trips to the Middle East are looking for new markets and see, including a new direction - Russia. Next, the radio, social media and so on will work. Tourists like it, in Russia now comfortable. Accordingly, Turkish citizens who have planned trips to the Middle East will be reoriented, including to Russia», he said.
Russia’s popularity among tourists from Vietnam is also growing. Tour operators say that we have two new entry markets they have opened to their surprise - Vietnam and Turkey. And there is a growth of both independent tours from these countries, as well as organized, - explained Kondratiev. According to him, this result is achieved not only due to the reorientation of tourists, but also in connection with the successful promotion of the tourist brand of Russia on international markets.
